About The Artist
Emily Keyishian, originally from NYC/NJ now based in the Bay Area is an abstract painter and all around creative. Her work attempts to find her path in the world and the struggle of where she belongs on the earth. Mapping the journeys her family took around the world to escape persecution within the language of abstraction fuels her work. She looks to inspiration in textiles and the natural world, sometimes from above and sometimes deeply embedded within the chaos of it.
