I’ve been painting for over twenty years, focusing on oil portraiture that reflects both the discipline of academic realism and the innovation of early to mid-century Modernism. Initially classically trained at Modesto Junior College, I later studied at CCA, and continue to explore the expressive range of traditional oil. My work seeks to convey presence and likeness while cultivating a nuanced painterly topography across the canvas surface.
