About The Artist
My primary medium is oil sticks, and I frequently use processed photographic images in my pieces, sometimes as a key element, sometimes just to stimulate my eye and hands. I suppose the best term for my current work is abstract representation. The objects and figures I paint aren’t strictly representational, but they hopefully carry a sense of presence and stability. I exhibit widely in the Bay Area and I was honored to be in the inaugural DeYoung Open exhibition.
