About The Artist

I work primarily in watercolor and am inspired by the built environment and abstractions found within it. Architecture taught me to draw precisely. Watercolors are unforgiving and therefore exciting involving both serendipity and high risk. Evidence of my hand is important. Specific inspirations include architects and artists like Aalto, Calatrava, Cezanne, Ozenfant, Redon, Saarinen, Sheeler and Stegner whose novels express the vastness of the West.
